Taste of Anatomy: Foot, Ankle, Knee, and Hip Bundle

Taught by Julie Gudmestad, PT (ret), E-RYT 500, Certified Yoga Therapist

Foot & Ankle
We devote our attention to improving your poses, protecting yourself from injury and deepening your practice.

Protect Your Knees
Knees can be vulnerable in yoga poses. We’ll study a little anatomy and look at which poses to practice to help keep you strong and healthy.

Hip Strengthening
Our hips are the connection between our legs and our torsos, and strong hip muscles help improve our balance and stability while standing, walking, and doing Yoga. In this class, we’ll look at the most important hip muscles, and then practice poses to build their strength and endurance.

Hip Opening
Improving hip flexibility offers benefits both on and off the mat, not only allowing us to go deeper into Yoga poses, but also helping to relieve some stress and pain in the low back. After a brief study of commonly tight hip muscles, we’ll practice a series of hip stretches, establishing a good routine to add to your home practice.

Props: Mat, 2 blocks, blanket, and a strap
