The use of props is helpful in allowing all bodies to do some version of an asana — even if the “finished” asana is not yet achievable. But props can do more: they can give you a better understanding of the pose, and allow you to experience the pose differently or from another perspective. In this Special Focus course, we will take several well-known yoga postures and explore them through the use of different props.
This class is not a therapeutic practice and is not intended for students with acute injuries or significant mobility challenges.
Props: mat, 2 straps, blankets, blocks, chair, wall, dowel, eye bag
